Young people are under more pressure now than ever when it comes to presenting curated images of themselves and their lives on social media.
What can we do?
The church can be a place of refuge from perfection, a place where we come to share our brokenness, seek forgiveness, and commit ourselves to a renewed way of being.
Try it:
Church leaders can help young people to see through the harmful messaging of social media and mass advertising. Consider using some of these resources from the National Eating Disorder Association to guide conversations with young adults and youth group members about cultivating a healthy body image.
